On the 25th of November 2022, PhD student Ovinuchi Ejiohuo from the Department of Pharmacognosy attended a workshop on , where he learned about the latest developments and techniques in this field of the technology. The workshop was organized by the Laboratory of Applied Biotechnology, which is a research unit at the Center for Advanced Technologies of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The workshop was titled “Biomedical Applications of Bioprinting” and focused on the use of 3D bioprinting technology in the field of biomedicine.
He was able to gain hands-on experience with different 3D bioprinting equipment and received expert guidance from experienced professionals in the field. The workshop allowed Ovinuchi to deepen his understanding of 3D bioprinting and its potential applications in various industries including the pharmaceutical industry.
The workshop involved participants receiving hands-on training from Sygnis Bio Technologies and Brinter, two companies that specialize in bioprinting technology. This training included the use of their bioprinters, allowing participants to gain practical experience with the technology and software. In addition to the hands-on training, the workshop also included a seminar on bioprinting, providing participants with a comprehensive guide on the principles and techniques of bioprinting. Finally, the workshop featured a presentation on current and ongoing works by Professor Filip Gorski from Poznan University of Technology on projects that are using 3D bioprinting in medical applications, showcasing the potential of this technology in the healthcare industry.
